I have been at sea since 2004.
To work on a ship you need - basic safety training (STCW) and a medical certificate for seafarers

I started out in 2004–2005, working as a deckhand on trawlers out of Greencastle, Ireland. Online you'll find me as Captain Andrian — on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

My first 10 years were on vessels in Ireland and the UK. I worked every fishing system out there — Trawler, Crabber, Autoline, Beamer — because I wanted to understand the trade from every angle.

In 2015 I enrolled at the fishing college in Greencastle and earned the Second Hand Full Skipper (Captain) qualification — still valid today. After that I worked on vessels out of Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark.

Since 12 January 2026 I have been at CERONAV in Constanța, finishing my studies as a Marine Engineer (Motorist) — because at sea you never stop learning.

I want to help people who want to get into this line of work — whether they want to fish on vessels or start out in a fish-processing factory. I know the road. And I know what it takes to get there.
