What data we collect
We collect only the data strictly necessary to prepare your CV, process payment, and connect you with shipowners:
- Identification data: full name, date of birth, nationality, country of residence.
- Contact data: phone, WhatsApp, email.
- Professional data: experience on vessels (positions, periods, types of fishing), STCW certificates, licences, CV photo.
- Professional preferences: type of contract sought, destinations, availability.
- Payment data: we do NOT store full card numbers, CVV, or sensitive banking data. Card payments are processed exclusively by our PCI DSS-certified processor (see section 04). We only retain the transaction identifier, amount, and date — for support purposes.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited (via technical cookies and, with your consent, anonymous analytics).
Legal basis and purpose of processing
We process your data on the following legal bases (Article 6 GDPR):
- Performance of a contract — to write the CV, deliver the service package, and process payment.
- Your explicit consent — to forward the CV to shipowners or partner agencies, and for analytics cookies.
- Legitimate interest — for site security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
We do not use your data for automated marketing without consent, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
Online payment processing
Credit and debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro) are processed by providers certified to PCI DSS Level 1 — the highest security standard in the industry. Card details are entered directly on the processor's secure page and never pass through our servers.
All transactions are protected by TLS 1.2+ encryption and 3-D Secure (SCA) authentication, in line with EU Directive PSD2. Captain Andrian has no access to, and cannot store, your full card details.
Card acquiring is provided by Banca Comercială "Moldova-Agroindbank" S.A. (maib) through the ePayment platform. Payments are charged in euro (EUR). If the currency of your card differs from EUR, the transaction amount is converted by your issuing bank from EUR into your card's currency, at the exchange rate it applies on the day the operation is processed.
Storage, security, and retention
Your data is stored encrypted on servers located in the European Union. Access is restricted to authorised personnel only. Communication with you happens over end-to-end encrypted channels (WhatsApp, Signal, email over TLS).
Retention periods:
- Professional documents (certificates, photos): 12 months from order completion, unless you request earlier deletion.
- Contact data for post-sale support: 24 months.
- Analytics cookies: up to 13 months.
Your GDPR rights
Under GDPR and Moldovan Law No. 133/2011, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — to know what data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to request correction or updating of your data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — to request deletion of your data, except where retained under legal obligation.
- Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to restriction and objection — to limit or object to the processing.
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint — with the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We respond within 30 days, as required by GDPR.
International transfers
Your CV and professional data may be transmitted to shipowners or partner agencies outside the EU/EEA — only with your explicit, written consent for each recipient. In such cases, we ensure the transfer is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other appropriate safeguards under GDPR.
Cookies
The site uses a minimal set of technical cookies (language preference, secure session, CSRF protection) — strictly necessary for the site to function. Optionally, with your consent, we use anonymous analytics cookies to understand traffic. On your first visit we ask for consent via a banner — you can accept or decline without affecting the core functionality of the site.
